Denzel Washington stars in the remake of the popular 80s crime series, which sees an ex commando embroiled in an all-out war with the Russian mob.
Based on the highly popular 80s series, Washington stars as Robert McCall, an ex-covert ops soldier who comes out of retirement to rescue a girl. Unbeknownst to him, the act puts him in the cross hairs of Russian gangsters who are out to extract revenge. Forced on the defence, McCall falls back on his training to wage a one-man war against the Russian mob.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Chloë Grace Moretz, Melissa Leo and Bill Pullman, The Equalizer is scheduled to be released in cinemas this September.
