Disney and Lucasfilm Ltd. today unveiled new content based on the most anticipated film of the year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, for the hit mobile combat strategy game Star Wars: Commander. Players will now be able to relocate to, and engage in Conflicts on, the world of Takodana, as seen in the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers.

Fans who engage in PVP Conflicts on Takodana will battle for two new Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired mercenary units, the Dowutin Hunter and Luggabeast Munitioneer, and earn them as prizes for completing planetary Objectives. These new units will be permanently unlockable through a levelled-up Cantina and can be upgraded.

For a limited time beginning December 3rd, players will also receive five free consumable units of each new mercenary by following directions when they log into the game.

Details of the new units and planet for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens inspired update includes:

    Luggabeast Munitioneer
Players can hire the armoured Luggabeast Munitioneer, based on the cybernetic-enhanced beast of burden in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, to support their massive armies as they apply a damage buff to nearby friendly units.

    Dowutin Hunter
Inspired by a new species unveiled in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Dowutin Hunters are lumbering infantry hired to dispatch enemy defending units with shock and awe, troops and vehicles alike. They carry a grip of thermal detonators and a modified starfighter blaster to ensure that the job gets done

    Planet Takodana
Featuring Maz’s Castle, the planet Takodana is the home to many unaligned scoundrels and provides the perfect setting for new Conflicts in Star Wars: Commander.

Players can join the battle for control of the galaxy by downloading the game from the Apple App Store, Google Play and Amazon Appstore.
