It’s now official, Squid Game will be returning to our screens for Season 2 on Netflix. Although the streaming giant didn’t reveal details like the airdate, they did however allude to what the new season will bring.
At the grand finale of the Netflix FYSEE event in Los Angeles on 12 June, director, writer, and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk, made the announcement for the series return. He also took to Instagram to pen a letter teasing what’s in store.
Amongst the plotlines the director revealed were the potential return of Gi-hun, the Front Man, and “the man in the suit with ddakji”. Hwang also hints to the introduction of a new character for Squid Game season 2.
To commemorate the show’s renewal, Young-hee a.k.a. the ‘Red Light, Green Light’ doll will also be making a re-appearance in Malaysia. You can catch it outside Fahrenheit88 at Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur today, 13 June. Catch her for a thrilling game of Red Light, Green Light from 9am to 11pm.
