Sony Pictures has dropped the Venom: Let There Be Carnage trailer, which reunites us with the Marvel Comics’ anti-hero. The sequel is directed by Andy Serkis with Tom Hardy reprising his role as Eddie Brock.
The story continues with the events of the first film with Brock and the alien symbiote known as Venom trying to co-exist. However, they also seem to have a new villain waiting in the wings with Carnage, another alien symbiote.
As seen in the end credits of the first Venom film, Brock meets serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) in prison. In the comics, Kasady comes into contact with a symbiote and transforms into Carnage.
Set for release in end September, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, also stars Michelle Williams, Reid Scott and Naomie Harris.
The official synopsis reads…
Tom Hardy returns to the big screen as the lethal protector Venom, one of Marvel’s greatest and most complex characters. Directed by Andy Serkis, the film also stars Michelle Williams, Naomie Harris and Woody Harrelson, in the role of the villain Cletus Kasady/Carnage. Only in theatres September 24.
