After numerous delays, audiences will finally see Jared Leto light up the screen as one of Marvel Comics’ most iconic characters. The new Morbius trailer lays out the new superhero adventure, with Leto as the titular character.
One of the most compelling and conflicted characters in Sony Pictures Universe of Marvel Characters comes to the big screen as Oscar winner Jared Leto transforms into the enigmatic antihero Michael Morbius.
Dangerously ill with a rare blood disorder and determined to save others suffering his same fate, Dr. Morbius attempts a desperate gamble. While at first it seems to be a radical success, a darkness inside him is unleashed. Will good override evil – or will Morbius succumb to his mysterious new urges?
As seen in the new Morbius trailer, the film is not short on action. The film also displays the character’s full arsenal of vampire capabilities. As an added plus point, it looks like Michael Keaton is reprising his role as the Vulture in this film, which could allude to a link to the Spider-Man extended universe.
Daniel Espinosa directs this new Sony Marvel adventure. Starring alongside Leto are Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson. Morbius arrives in cinemas this April. Check out the trailer below.
