Think you know all about the latest season of the Emmy-winning HBO drama series Westworld? Here’s a cool fact that you may not know about the upcoming eight-episode series – parts of the third season were filmed at various locations in Singapore!

Various locations in Singapore were used as the backdrop for the latest season of the hit sci-fi series. This includes popular tourist spots like Orchard Road and Chinatown, as well as at futuristic infrastructure and iconic architectural gems such as the Helix Bridge, National Gallery Singapore and School of the Arts (SOTA).

As a destination known for its varied architectural styles – comprising a unique juxtaposition of iconic skyscrapers with futuristic designs alongside rustic heritage buildings – Singapore was able to offer up an engaging and rare blend of old and new. The city’s unique, yet cutting edge architectural attributes was a key reason behind its selection as a focal filming location for Westworld.

Filming in Singapore was assisted by both the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

Here’s the full list of Singapore shoot locations in Westworld season 3: Atlas Bar, Chinatown (Food Street), Esplanade Park, Helix Bridge
LASALLE College of the Arts, Marina One, Marina Coast Expressway (MCE), National Gallery Singapore, Oasia Hotel Downtown, Orchard Road, PARKROYAL on Pickering, Pulau Ubin, Robinson Road, School of the Arts (SOTA) and Stadium MRT station.

Check out this Singapore-centric teaser below of some Westworld shooting locations in Singapore.

It wasn’t just city’s locations that are the stars of the series. Several Singapore-based talents were also involved in the Emmy® winning HBO drama series. They include Tuen Wai Meng <段伟明> (“128 Circle”, “Neighbours” <芝麻绿豆>), Salif Hardie (“Lion Mums 3”, “Azam dan Johan”), Nikki Muller (“SeNT”, “FAM”), Cheryl Chitty Tan (“Faculty”, “Derek”) and Bobby Tonelli (“Fighting Spiders”, “Cages”).

Westworld Season 3 premieres same time as the U.S. on Monday, 16 March at 9am exclusively on HBO GO and HBO (Astro Ch 411 / 4131 HD) with an encore telecast at 9pm on HBO. New episodes premiere every Monday at the same time.

You can catch up on past seasons of Westworld on HBO GO.
