The 13-part Netflix series follows a group of teenagers as they come together to try and solve a series of strange supernatural occurrences in their town, which appear to be cantered around their friend’s emerging mystical abilities. As they find themselves in increasingly perilous situations and are drawn into a cat-and-mouse game with a malevolent spirit, they also come to face to face with their own personal demons.
The series features an ensemble cast of talents from the region. This includes Singaporean actor Chen Yixin, Malaysian actor Idan Aedan, Australian actors Caleb Monk and Nikki Dekker, and Indonesian actor Maxime Bouttier, alongside veteran names such as Lim Yu-Beng (Singapore), Fir Rahman (Singapore) and Adinia Wirasti (Indonesia).
Mr. Midnight: Beware The Monsters is produced and written by Head of Beach House Kids Susan Oliver and Creative Director of Beach House Kids Sean Masterson respectively. Directing the series is award-winning Australian director Tony Tilse. Together, they worked closely with an experienced and diverse team of producers, researchers, and crew including notable production designer Pawas Sawatchaiyamet and world-renowned prosthetic, creature effects and character design company, Odd Studio.
