The Greatest American Hero was a moderately successful television series in the early 80s. Running for two seasons, the series depicted a high school teacher who was bestowed a special suit by aliens, which granted him superpowers. But with the teacher misplacing the instruction booklet, he has no choice but to learn on a trial and error basis of how to be a superhero.
The series starred William Katt, Connie Seleca and Robert Culp and it spawned a 80s hit ballad titled, ‘Believe It Or Not’, which is popular till today. Now, word has broken out that Phil Lord and Chris Miller who brought The Lego Movie to life as well as 22 Jump Street are keen to revive this 80s series.
The Greatest American Hero though will apparently not be a big screen project but a television series, which relates back closely to the original. The series is expected to be moulded into an hour-long action comedy.
