Hit video game movie franchise, Resident Evil gets a reboot in the form of Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. In this new movie directed by Johannes Roberts, the film is an origins tale that takes place at the very beginning of the zombie infestation.
In Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, the once booming home of pharmaceutical giant Umbrella Corporation, Raccoon City is now a dying Midwestern town. The company’s exodus left the city a wasteland…with great evil brewing below the surface. When that evil is unleashed, a group of survivors must work together to uncover the truth behind Umbrella and make it through the night.
The new film stars Kata Scodelario as Claire Redfield and Robbie Amell as Chris Redfield. Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City also features key characters Jill Valentine, Leon Kennedy, and Ada Wong, who are played by Hannah John-Kamen, Avan Jogia and Lily Goa respectively.
Also starring in the upcoming film are Neil McDonough, Tom Hopper and Donal Loque. The film is set to arrive in theatres on 24 November. Check out the trailer below.
