The klpac Orchestra will tune up and take audiences on a magical cinematic ride with the musical scores from hit movies in Magical Movie Moments II. The concert is set to be held from 11 to 13 October 2019 at klpac.
After four long years, Magical Movie Moments returns for its second outing due to popular demand. The klpac Orchestra, under the baton of Music Director and Resident Conductor Lee Kok Leong, is thrilled to bring you some of the best known tunes from the silver screen be it blockbuster movies, animation films, Spaghetti Westerns, musical films or all-time classics.
The concert boasts five soloists Tria Aziz (Singer), Iz Sulaini (Singer), Evon Ng (Vocalist), Li Xinqiao (Violin) and Tan Fang Hau (Cello). Without a doubt, the highlights of the concert are music from some of the top grossing films of our time such as Star Wars and The Avengers.
Younger audiences are not left out as they can sing along to family-friendly favourites such as The Lion King, Aladdin and How to Train Your Dragon. Some of the more recent hit films like A Star is Born also made it into the programme list as with some classics like the beautifully haunting tunes from Schindler’s List and Departures.
The klpac Orchestra is a community orchestra made possible by a group of volunteers. As part of its fundraising efforts, they are selling VIP tickets at RM100 to help the orchestra maintain, replace and upkeep its percussion instruments.
