The Ghostface killer gets a new hunting ground in the latest instalment of the Scream franchise. In the new Scream VI trailer we see the serial killer in New York City, where we see the protagonist start a reign of terror.
Following the latest Ghostface killings, the four survivors leave Woodsboro behind and start a fresh chapter. In Scream VI, Melissa Barrera (“Sam Carpenter”), Jasmin Savoy Brown (“Mindy Meeks-Martin”), Mason Gooding (“Chad Meeks-Martin”), Jenna Ortega (“Tara Carpenter”), Hayden Panettiere (“Kirby Reed”), and Courtney Cox (“Gale Weathers”) return to their roles in the franchise.
The cast is supported by Jack Champion, Henry Czerny, Liana Liberato, Dermot Mulroney, Devyn Nekoda, Tony Revolori, Josh Segarra and Samara Weaving. Directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin & Tyler Gillett, Scream VI will arrive in cinemas in early March.
It will be interesting to see what the new film will deliver to the franchise. As one of the most popular slasher flicks in modern cinema history, Scream has endured for six films. With a new setting in New York City, it could provide an avenue for fresher storylines and a new dimension to the Ghostface killer.
