We’re just a couple of months away from seeing the latest adaptation of Dungeons & Dragons on the big screen. Paramount Pictures is certainly doing its part to hype up the live-action film with a new trailer for Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves.
This isn’t the first time D&D has been adapted for the big screen. In 2000, a film starring Jeremy Irons and Marlon Wayans hit screens but unfortunately it failed to resonate with audiences. The game was also famously adapted into an entertaining and highly-successful Saturday Morning Cartoon in the 80s.
Led by Chris Pine, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves follows a charming thief and a band of unlikely adventurers as they undertake an epic heist to retrieve a lost relic. However, things go dangerously awry when they run afoul of the wrong people.
Based on the beloved Hasbro board game, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves brings the rich world and playful spirit of the legendary roleplaying game to the big screen in a hilarious and action-packed adventure.
The Paramount Pictures production is directed by Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley and based on a screenplay by Goldstein, Daley and Michael Gilio. In addition to Pine, the live-action fantasy adventure also stars Michelle Rodriguez, Regé-Jean Page, Justice Smith, Sophia Lillis, Chloe Coleman, Daisy Head and Hugh Grant.
