Sony Pictures’ new Men in Black film goes international this time with Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson portraying two new characters from the sci-fi franchise. As the title suggests, the film series now treads international waters with the MiB London office displayed in full glory.
The film though is still link in some ways to the original series with Emma Thompson reprising her role as Agent O, the head of MiB New York seen in the last film. The synopsis for this new adventure is pretty scarce, hinting that the film rests predominantly on Tessa Thompson’s shoulders as a recruit who has ties to the MiB and is more than eager to prover herself.
There’s also a new antagonist in play with The Hive, which looks like alien beings with shapeshifting powers. There’s also the central plot of MiB being infiltrated by a mole.
Men in Black: International is directed by F. Gary Gray and also features Rebecca Ferguson, Kumail Najiani, Rafe Spall, Laurent Bourgeois, Larry Bourgeois and Liam Neeson. The film arrives in cinemas this June.
