Mission: Impossible 6 has an official title and will be called Mission: Impossible – Fallout. The official title was revealed by star Tom Cruise and director Christopher McQuarrie on social media. The post was followed by a death-defying act performed by Cruise hanging outside of a helicopter.
Mission: Impossible – Fallout will be released at the end of July 2018 and will see Cruise reprise his role as super-agent Ethan Hunt. According to McQuarrie in a recent interview with Empire Magazine, the title does link to the threat of nuclear war but it also links back to the choices Hunt has made in his life, which has set him on this path in espionage.
Cruise will be joined by a number of newcomers to the franchise such as Henry Cavill, Vanessa Kirby, and Angela Bassett but he will also reunite with familiar faces too from past films. Mission: Impossible – Fallout will also see Michelle Monaghan, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, and Sean Harris return as well.
