The wait is over for the first look at Marvel’s upcoming martial arts action adventure, Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings. A newly released teaser trailer lines-up what the film is all about plus all the key martial arts sequences it is expected to deliver.
Starring Simu Liu, the film centres on the titular character who was initially trained as an assassin by his father Wenwu (Tony Leung). The character of Wenwu is not only the head of a shadowy organisation known as the Ten Rings but has also gone by several names, including The Mandarin.
In the trailer for Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, we see the hero going back to his roots after a decade. However, despite walking away, he must contend with his legacy and the ramifications of his past.
The fight scenes and fight cinematography are orchestrated by Bill Pope, who previously worked on The Matrix. The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton. Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings also stars Awkwafina, Fala Chen, Meng’er Zhang, Florian Munteanu, Ronny Chieng, and Michelle Yeoh.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings hits cinemas in early September 2021.
