The quote by famous author and poet Hans Christian Anderson is spot on – music fills void and amplifies emotions that words alone cannot. This concert is set to transport audiences to another realm with an array of famous film scores and theme songs that promise to evoke the emotions The Dark Knight Rises, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Hairspray, Frozen and many more movies. The klpac Orchestra will also be premiering Ladies in Lavender Suite to Malaysian audiences, based on the 2004 British drama with the same title.
klpac Guest Conductor, Lee Kok Leong explained the inspiration behind this concert theme. ‘How many times do we walk out of the cinema humming to the classic tunes of Star Wars’ – Imperial March, Indiana Jones or Superman? These songs arouse a sense of fear, enthusiasm and courage in us. That’s why I decided to give the audience a treat by playing theme songs and film scores that they will surely identify with’.

Magical Movie Moments will take place at Pentas 1, The Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre this coming 9 January (preview) until 11 January 2015.
