Fans of Tim Burton’s original Batman film will want to get their hands on the new LEGO Batwing build and display model. Based on the iconic aircraft from the 1989 film, the new set arrives with realistic details including a removable canopy, poseable flaps and three minifigures including Batman, Joker and Lawrence the Boombox Goon.
Released in 1989 with Michael Keaton as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Tim Burton’s Batman remains a beloved classic that first immortalised the Dark Knight on the silver screen. In addition to the iconic Batmobile (which you can also build) featured in the film, the superhero’s Batwing also played a pivotal role in the film, especially during the film’s third act.
Best of all not only is the LEGO Batwing impressive in appearance, it also comes with a new brick feature that allows it to be displayed on the wall. But it looks just as impressive when it’s displayed on its own sturdy stand.
The 2363-piece kit measures 11cm high, 52cm long and 58cm wide and is set to be launched in stores beginning 1 November. The list price for the kit is USD200, which isn’t exactly cheap but it still should end up a highly-coveted collector’s piece especially for Batman fans.
