Fast & Furious 9 is delayed for over a year, but LEGO has found a way to satisfy fans’ appetite with a set modelled after Dominic Toretto’s Dodge Charger. The LEGO Technic set is a 1:13 scale replica of Dom’s iconic 1970 Dodge Charger from the blockbuster franchise. It consists of 1077 pieces and will retail for USD99.99 beginning 27 April 2020.

“We worked really closely with the Universal team to bring Dom’s Dodge Charger to life in the most minute detail to inspire ‘Fast & Furious’ fans and Lego Technic builders around the world,” said Samuel Tacchi who designed the set for LEGO Technic in a press release.

Tacchi isn’t kidding about the set being in detail. The model has a hood that conceals its V8 engine with the trunk featuring nitro gas canisters as well. However this isn’t the first Dodge Charger released by LEGO.
The company previously released a smaller set as part of its ‘Speed Champions’ series. It has also tapped into a number of iconic vehicles from films like Tim Burton’s Batmobile.
As far as Fast & Furious goes, the next instalment to the successful film, franchise, F9, will be released in April 2021.
