Netflix has released its first teaser poster and details for the much-anticipated K-drama, Black Knight. The streamer has also unveiled a first-look still of Kim Woo-bin portraying the legendary deliveryman 5-8 in January which sparked a wave of excitement among fans worldwide.
Black Knight follows the journey of Sa-wol, a refugee, and the legendary delivery man known only as 5-8, as he takes on the all-powerful Cheonmyeong Group in a dystopian version of South Korea. In a country ravaged by extreme air pollution, South Korea is no longer habitable without an oxygen mask.
In a world without air, the delivery men, also known as the Black Knights are tasked with the most important job – to deliver oxygen and necessities to the 1% of the population who lived through extreme desertification.
This first teaser poster for the K-drama offers a glimpse into the setting of the series, a world completely engulfed in sand. A used oxygen mask lies discarded on a barren landscape, where the ruins of collapsed high-rise buildings loom in the distance with no signs of life. A figure resembling the legendary deliveryman 5-8 walks away from a massive truck, leaving viewers with a sense of intrigue for the story to unfold.

The stellar cast members below bring the characters’ depth and complexity to the narrative to life, each with unique perspectives and motivations as envisioned by renowned Director Cho Ui-Seok. Kim Woo-bin takes the lead in the series playing the legendary deliveryman, a.k.a ‘5-8’. The series also stars Song Seung-heon as the only heir to the powerful Cheonmyeong Group, Kang You-seok as a boy who dreams of becoming a delivery man and Esom as the Defense Intelligence Command major.
Black Knight will premiere in the second quarter of 2023 only on Netflix.
