Nostalgia seems to be the theme for Malaysian viewers in May judging by the Top 10 charts by JustWatch. According to the streaming guide, old shows edged out new competition on most streaming platforms in the past month.

The arrival of Top Gun: Maverick in cinemas was enough to propel the original Top Gun film to the top of the movie charts in May. Granted the interest fuelled by the long-awaited sequel was enough enticement for audiences to re-watch the 80s original starring Tom Cruise. The film can be currently streamed on HBO GO.

Not surprising superheroes continue to be a popular choice for viewers in May according to JustWatch. Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Batman and Morbius made it into the top ten. The video game adaptation of Uncharted broke into the top five. Other films making up the top 10 include The Lost City and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

On the small screen, beloved sci-fi series Lost topped the list. The classic series fended up off a tonne of new shows to top the charts for May. This included the series finale of Moon Knight and Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney+. Stranger Things Season 4 also garnered interest for the Netflix series with Stranger Things coming up just behind Lost on the list.

Documentary Skyscrapers: Engineering the Future made the cut at number eight with How I Met Your Father, the spinoff series of How I Met Your Mother at number nine. Check out the entire list below.
