If the box-office performance of 2017’s IT is anything to go by, IT: Chapter Two is literally assured of make a killing at the box-office. Those familiar with the source material know that the sequel picks up years after the first film with the Losers Club now as adults.
In the first film, the kids brush with the evil clown-faced entity named Pennywise saw them coming out on top but villainous creature returns to haunt them. Scarier and angrier than before, the demon sets out to extract revenge on the group of friends, bringing them together for what could be the final showdown.
Although no details have been revealed with regards to the sequel, it is said that IT: Chapter Two remains faithful to the source material from the Stephen King novel. The film will also shuffle back and forth with the storyline involving the kids from the first feature and their adult selves.
Andy Muschietti returns to direct IT: Chapter Two with James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain, Bill Hader and Jay Ryan headlining the production. Bill Skarsgard reprises his role as the evil entity known as Pennywise.
IT: Chapter Two is set to scare audiences beginning 6 September.
