Despite being busy playing Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman, Jason Momoa could have another comic book franchise on his hands. Word is out that Relativity Media is scouting the actor to portray Eric Draven in the upcoming The Crow reboot. Corin Hardy is set to direct the remake based on the graphic novel by James O’Barr.
The production has faced countless issues mainly revolving around its main star, especially with a host of actors linked to the role over the years. Luke Evans, Tom Hiddleston, James McAvoy, Bradley Cooper, and Jack Huston were some of the names linked to The Crow but no firm casting decisions were ever made.
The Crow was a cult classic that made headlines for the wrong reasons when it came out in the mid-90s as it involved the accidental death of star, Brandon Lee. But Momoa could be the right fit to star in this upcoming reboot as he definitely bears the look and physique of a superhero.
If he was indeed cast as Eric Draven, then Momoa would have to divide his time portraying two key superhero projects in the next several years. His role as Aquaman will see Momoa star in Justice League which is currently being filmed as well as a standalone film slated for 2018.
