Set to change the movie-going experience in Ipoh, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) has launched the largest multiplex in Perak with the first ever GSC Maxx built with the first multi-dimensional cinema audio technology – Dolby Atmos in the northern region.
To complement the giant screen and the 3D audio, GSC Ipoh Parade will be the first cinema in the entire GSC chain to be equipped with a 4k projector for higher image resolution and brightness. All this features are packed into one THX-certified hall which is also the first in Perak.
Movie-goers who have been patronizing the 3-screen GSC Ipoh Parade since 1996 will now be spoilt for choice as the almost 20-year old multiplex on the 3rd floor has been relocated up to the 5th floor and now boasts of 11 digital screens. With a total seating capacity of 1,938 including 22 wheelchair spaces, GSC Ipoh Parade will be the largest multiplex in Ipoh and Perak, in terms of number of screens and seats.
As part of GSC expansion plans, GSC recently launched 10-screen GSC Quill City Mall and 11-screen GSC NU Sentral in Kuala Lumpur. The next multiplex i.e. 13-screen GSC IOI City Mall, Putrajaya is opening on Feb 12, just before Chinese New Year.
As part of GSC Ipoh Parade opening celebration, customers can look forward to a complimentary Minute Maid orange juice with every purchase of GSC Combo, while stocks last. From Feb 5 – 14, the first 100 transactions daily over the box office counter, customers will also receive one (1) “Buy 1 Free 1” coupon for each transaction.
On the opening weekends from Feb 7- 29, Ipoh folks can participate in fun movie activities like Kingsman: The Secret Service– Secret Agent Memory Game, Dragon Blade wire buzz game, Cinderella photo opportunity, and Jupiter Ascending electronic game. There will also be ‘Prosperity Hours’ on weekends to reward customers with more vouchers.
