Velvet, KL’s newest boutique cinema from leading cinema exhibitor, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC) is set to open its doors this December. Nestled in the heart of Mont Kiara at Retail Park 163, Velvet reimagines retro cinematic experiences, complete with vibrant F&B and lifestyle offerings, in partnership with Alliance Bank.
Drawing inspiration from retro cinema in the 60s, with an eclectic combination of retro and modern designs, Velvet presents an intimate space for audiences to relive the magic of cinema. With a total of 163 seats over 3 halls, Velvet will showcase a dedicated line-up of arthouse films, well-loved cult classics, foreign films, and Hollywood blockbusters, ranging from a multi-verse of genres.
Conceptualised and brought to life by leading cinema exhibitor, Golden Screen Cinemas, Velvet is inspired by timeless retro charm, fused with modern elements. The cinema reimagines cinematic experiences through an intimate space for movie-goers to connect with other like-minded individuals over signature sharing platters or movie-themed drinks, and personalised service to make you feel at home, without being home
Upon opening, Velvet will host an opening promotion with tickets priced at RM140 per pair (RM70 per pax) on weekdays (Monday-Thursday), and RM180 per pair (RM90 per pax) weekends (Friday – Sunday). Standard ticket prices are at RM200 per pair (RM100 per pax). With plush twin seats to cosy up to, majority of tickets are sold in pairs, with a limited number of single seats available.
