It looks like someone just cracked the code on how to properly adapt an anime. And it looks like the straight forward approach has worked the best. That basically sums up Ghost In The Shell, a direct adaptation of the cult-classic Japanese anime.
Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, Ghost In The Shell follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.
Ghost in the Shell stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Beat Takeshi, Juliette Binoche, Kaori Momoi, and Rila Fukushima. The film opens in cinemas 30th March 2017. In the meantime check out the trailer above.
