The celebration continues throughout the week with the new DC series, Pennyworth, which explores the personal history and origins of Alfred Pennyworth. Yes, that Alfred, the beloved and indispensable Wayne Family butler and father-figure to Bruce Wayne/Batman.
Set to premiere on Monday, 29 June at 9pm on Warner TV (Astro Ch 712 HD / UnifiTV Ch 451), The DC series explores the origins of titular Wayne Family butler Alfred Pennyworth, a former British SAS soldier in his 20s, who forms a security company in 1960s alternate London.
After being targeted by a group conspiring to subvert the British Government, Alfred teams up with American agents Thomas Wayne and Martha Kane – who later become the parents of Bruce Wayne. The series stars Jack Bannon and Ben Aldridge.
That aside, The Women of Wonder Campaign also continues on Warner TV with Stylish Women on Sundays this June at 9pm – catch the sophisticated and spiffy female leads in Jack the Giant Slayer, Scooby-Doo 2: Monster’s Unleashed, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and The Matrix.
