Boy, fans really don’t like Zack Snyder. Fresh off scathing reviews from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans are now clamouring for the director to be removed from the upcoming Justice League movie. And they’ve even started an online petition to get him removed.
But their efforts are a moot point at this point of time because Snyder is going ahead to helm Justice League Part 1 with production about to begin fairly soon. This isn’t the first time fans have lobbied to get someone removed from a DC film. Few years ago, fans started a petition to remove Ben Affleck from starring as Batman in Dawn of Justice. Obviously the plan didn’t work.
This latest news though doesn’t bode well for Warner Bros. who despite having a sizeable hit on their hands with Batman v Superman. Fans and critics have largely remained unanimous in panning the film and it remains to be seen how far the film can go at the box-office for its end returns.
That said, the film that could suffer the most from the bad press will likely be Justice League. With fans souring on the DC cinematic universe being created and wanting Snyder off the project, it could do enough damage to scupper the box-office for Warner Bros.
We’ll see soon enough with Justice League Part 1 opening in cinemas in November 2017.
