Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has another big movie project on his plate and it’s the classic comic book adaptation of Doc Savage. The actor recently took to Facebook to announce his involvement in the film, which will be directed by Shane Black.
Doc Savage was a popular comic book character who featured in his own series during the 1930s and 1940s. And his popularity stretched into other mediums such as radio and film as well. It remains to be seen what interpretation both Black and Johnson will bring to the table in this big screen adaptation. Or let alone when it would be made.
Johnson has a packed schedule on his hands at the moment, which includes films such as Baywatch, Fast & Furious 8, Jumanji, San Andreas 2, Big Trouble in Little China as well as Rampage and Shazam! Black on the other hand is currently working on a Predator film, so production on Doc Savage could be a couple of years off to say the least.
