The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia (TWDC SEA) has commissioned acclaimed and imaginative photographer Michael Chevas from Thailand to transform nine celebrities across Southeast Asia into iconic Disney Princesses as part of a 2015 Disney Princess Calendar photo shoot. Along with three other selected models, these 12 women will personify Disney’s Princess fairy tales.
Portraying a re-imagined interpretation while still retaining the classic essence of the Disney Princess, the selected celebrities from Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Thailand bring to life a relatable, empowered heroine who delights everyone but especially inspires girls to realize their full potential. Based on a rich legacy of exceptional storytelling and beloved characters, the Disney Princesses each embody unique aspirational qualities such as Kindness, Strength, Compassion, Loyalty and Courage.
The nine celebrities chosen are personalities who embody positive values and serve as good role models for children. Through them, children will learn that true beauty comes from within by being kind, generous and compassionate. The local talents are:
Indonesia
- Sandra Dewi as ‘Cinderella’
Malaysia
- Daiyan Trisha as ‘Snow White’
- Marsha Milan as ‘Elsa’
The Philippines
- Kim Chiu as ‘Mulan’
- Sarah Geronimo as ‘Rapunzel’
Thailand
- Best as ‘Jasmine’
