A stellar line-up of celebrities across South Korea, Japan, Indonesia, and the United States will light up Marina Bay Sands for the Disney Content Showcase. Hosted in partnership with The Walt Disney Company Asia Pacific, the showcase is bringing together 23 of the brightest talent in the industry to headline a two-day spectacle that will see Marina Bay Sands roll out the blue carpet for the biggest talent group ever hosted on property.
Taking place on 30 November, the blue carpet event will allow the public to have the rare opportunity to catch a glimpse of their favourite celebrities from across the region.
Fans in attendance can look forward to riding the Korean wave in the presence of South Korean heartthrob Jung Haein, actor and comedian Ko Kyungpyo, and breakout actress Kim Hyejun, who will be starring in the crime fantasy thriller Connect, helmed by legendary Japanese filmmaker Miike Takashi. Additionally, the all-star cast of upcoming series Big Bet featuring Squid Game villain Heo Sungtae and multi-hyphenate Lee Donghwi can be spotted alongside acclaimed director Kang Yunsung.
Other luminaries gracing the event include the charming cast behind several new Japanese dramas – Yuya Yagira, Riho Yoshioka and Shinzo Katayama. Beloved Indonesian talent Deva Mahenra, Chelsea Islan and Refal Hady will also share the spotlight. Meanwhile, hailing all the way from the United States is Asian-American storyboard artist, animator, voice actor, and filmmaker Peter Sohn – the director of the all-new, original feature film Elemental.
On top of the star-studded blue carpet moment, an expansive theatrical and streaming slate for 2023 will also be presented at the Disney Content Showcase – including a growing collection of APAC Originals on Disney+ and Disney+ Hotstar, told by some of the region’s best storytellers.
