Director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman have formed one of the best partnerships in film. With Burton bringing his unique visuals to film, Elfman has always complimented what transpires what happens on film with an impeccable score.
Now, the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra will be bringing to life that sensational partnership with a special concert this March. Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton is a live concert that features the composer’s famous film scores brought to life on stage by orchestra, enhanced by visuals on the big screen of Burton’s original film sketches, drawings and storyboards.
Conducted by Sarah Hicks and complimented by the Young Choral Academy Chorus, Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton will feature music from films such as Batman, Edward Scissorhands, Alice in Wonderland, and The Nightmare Before Christmas, proving once again the great appeal of film music performed by a live orchestra.
Danny Elfman’s Music from the Films of Tim Burton will be held at the MPO on 6-7 March at 8.30pm respectively. Tickets are priced at RM200, RM170, RM140 and RM100 respectively.
