    Crossing Borders 2017 is offering filmmakers an opportunity to pitch their ideas and learn from the industry’s best.

    Do you ever watch documentaries in complete awe of how the filmmakers are able to create such incredibly powerful and fascinating stories? Ever wondered what it takes to get your own documentary commissioned for the International market but never quite known how? Keen on seeing first hand, how real life documentary filmmakers pitch their work and get their films made? Well, here’s something that would be perfect for you!

    Observe 16 documentary filmmakers from Europe and Asia (six from Malaysia) pitch their projects to a panel of decision makers from all over the world at the Crossing Borders International Documentary Pitch Open Day happening this 9 December 2017 at QLIQ Hotel.

    CROSSING_BORDERS1Crossing Borders 2017 is in partnership with and supported by FINAS – The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia and MyDocs – The Malaysian Documentary Association together with the European Documentary Network Documentary Campus and Creative Europe Media.

    This pitching forum provides a rare and unique opportunity for aspiring documentary filmmakers to witness, learn and experience what it takes to present and sell your story ideas at an international level. This is also perfect for those who are keen on gaining insight into broadcasters and their programming needs, as well as trends in the documentary market on a global level.

    The documentary filmmakers will be pitching their projects to a panel of local and international decision makers and buyers.

    Day/Date: Saturday, 9 December 2017

    Time: 9am – 3pm (Registration begins at 8.30am)

    Venue: Level 2, QLIQ Hotel (2 Jalan PJU 8/8A, Damansara Perdana, 47820 Petaling Jaya, Selangor)

    Admission: Free (Inclusive of tea break)
