Played by Rose McIver, “Liv” is back in new episodes of iZombie (Season 3) every Wednesday at 9.50pm, same day as the U.S., on Warner TV (HyppTV Ch 613 and Astro Ch 719). As we stay glued to “Liv’s” zombified persona, here are some interesting zombie-related facts for your reading pleasure!

World Zombie Day which falls on October 8th is for all zombie fans to gather together in an effort to alleviate world hunger. 2. The birth of a zombie
There are basically two theories behind the emergence of zombies – the first theory is that a cursed person dies and returns as a zombie, while the second theory is that a person turns into a zombie upon contracting a virus or is exposed to radiation. We are not sure which theory is right but both of it sounds legit! For iZombie’s Olivia “Liv” Moore, her zombified persona begin with the former – when she attended a boat party where a virus broke loose, turning all passengers onboard into brain-starved zombies!
3. Do you know who the father behind modern day zombies is?
George A. Romero, often referred to as the ‘Father of the Modern Zombie’. His 1968 movie ‘Night of the Living Dead’ is universally credited as the film from which all zombie movies today have their roots. To date, he has written and directed more zombie films that anyone in history.
4. Brain is life
There are two connotations to this – brain is FOOD and brain is LIFE (literally)! iZombie’s brain-hungry Olivia “Liv” Moore would definitely go with the former – even more so if there is hot sauce! As for the latter, according to zombie folklore, the only way to kill a zombie is to damage its brain or cut off its head! Now you know exactly what to do should a zombie apocalypse occur.
5. Stock up on salt, they can come in handy!
