Fans of Cobra Kai will be stoked to hear that the martial arts series will return to Netflix beginning 8 January 2021. In addition to the release date announcement, the streaming platform has also released a new teaser that highlights the upcoming season.
Cobra Kai has built up a solid fan base over recent months. The series, which is based on the original Karate Kid film, has been updated for a new audience, without losing its original charm. The series continues the storyline of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), which takes place 30 years after the first film.
Netflix also announced that it will deliver a season four, which is great news. The streaming service has also added a new synopsis to Cobra Kai Season 3.
“Cobra Kai takes place over 30 years after the events of the 1984 All Valley Karate Tournament with the continuation of the inescapable conflict between Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. Season Three finds everyone reeling in the aftermath of the violent high school brawl between their dojos, which has left Miguel in a precarious condition.
While Daniel searches for answers in his past and Johnny seeks redemption, Kreese further manipulates his vulnerable students with his own vision of dominance. The soul of the Valley is at stake, and the fate of every student and sensei hangs in the balance.”
