The first teaser for Marvel Studios’ Black Widow has been released with Scarlett Johannson reprising her role as the titular hero. As you know, the Widow a.k.a. Natasha Romanoff sacrificed herself for the Soul Stone in Avengers: Endgame, which essentially means this is the last time fans will get to see her on the big screen.
More interesting though, is that despite the fact the film is a standalone adventure, and likely a prequel, Black Widow will also kick off Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. As for the film’s story itself, it looks as if the timeline for the film takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War, which is interesting to say the least.
The film also hints to Agent Romanoff’s extended ‘family, whom are being played by Rachel Weisz, David Harbour and Florence Pugh. For now, the film is pretty much a secret but there’s obviously a lot of action and suspense going on in this hotly-anticipated superhero film by Cate Shortland.
Marvel Studios’ Black Widow comes to cinemas in May 2020.
