We’ve seen the teasers and the trailer and we honestly think Avengers: Age of Ultron does look pretty badass. But that hasn’t stopped Marvel from wanting to make the Avengers sequel a whole lot better, which is why they’re going back to the studios for reshoots.
According to The Daily Mail, the cast and crew will head back to Pinewood Studios, London for another round of filming despite principal photography finishing last August. According to the report, the additional filming would take place across two-weeks with most of the actors returning to London.
The reshoots were called because Marvel Studios wanted to up the ante for the highly-anticipated sequel. The additional round of filming will also not cause any delay with the film as Avengers: Age of Ultron will still keep its April/May 2015 release date.
Reshoots are commonplace in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as several films have gone back to the drawing board to shoot certain scenes, which help build the final product. According the Daily Mail, Joss Whedon is also set to helm the two-part sequel, Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 and Avengers: Infinity War Part 2, which will be filmed back-to-back in late 2015.
