Yellowstone has singlehandedly revived the interest in westerns. It’s prequel 1883 solidified that fact by being one of the most watched shows on Paramount+. Now, that universe is set to continue with 1923, and a new trailer has offered fans a first look.
The story continues after the events of 1883, taking place 40 years after the Yellowstone prequel. It follows the Dutton family as they embark west before settling in Montana. 1923 will focus on the Dutton family’s next two generations as they struggle to survive historic drought, lawlessness and prohibition, and an epidemic of cattle theft; all battled beneath the cloud of Montana’s great depression, which preceded the nation by almost a decade.
Hollywood legends Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford are leading the new series as Cara Dutton and Jacob Dutton respectively. The extended cast also features Sebastian Roché, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Jennifer Ehle, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer, Brandon Sklenar, and Robert Patrick.
The series will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on December 18. Check out the 1923 trailer below.
