Before she was Wonder Woman, she was Diana, princess of the Amazons, trained to be an unconquerable warrior. Raised on a sheltered island paradise, when an American pilot crashes on their shores and tells of a massive conflict raging in the outside world, Diana leaves her home, convinced she can stop the threat. Fighting alongside man in a war to end all wars, Diana will discover her full powers…and her true destiny.
That’s the premise of the new Wonder Woman film starring Gal Gadot as the titular character. Joining her on the adventure is Chris Pine as Colonel Steve Trevor as well as Robin Wright, Danny Huston and Connie Nielsen.
The final trailer demonstrates that the stakes have been raised for this new DC adventure as it tells the origins of the Amazon warrior. It’s got tonnes of action, possibly a hint of romance and also a tad of comedy as well. It would seem that director Patty Jenkins has moved away from the tone of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for this could work in favour for DC’s latest effort.
Wonder Woman opens in Malaysian cinemas on 1 June 2017.
