Taika Waititi and Jermaine Clement’s What We Do in the Shadows will be revived as a TV series on FX. The new series will air sometime in Spring 2019. FX will adapt the new series, which is based on the cult classic movie.
The new series is being planned as a half-hour comedy which will consist of ten episodes. According to the official logline, What We Do in the Shadows will be set in New York City and will follow three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years.
The premise sounds exactly like the cult classic starring Waititi, Clement and Jonny Brugh. Sadly though it would seem the stars won’t be returning for this small screen adaptation as it will feature a new slate of vampires played by Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guillen Clement and Waititi however will executive produce the series.
What We Do in the Shadows will premiere on FX in spring 2019.
