Hit 80s cartoon series, ThunderCats will finally be getting a full-length feature film with Godzilla vs. Kong director Adam Wingard at the helm. According to Wingard, who is also co-writing the film, the project will be a mix of hyper-realistic CGI and animation. “I don’t want to reinvent the way they look; I want them to look like ThunderCats. I don’t want to do it live-action, either. I don’t want it to look like Cats,” said the director. Wingard also added that he wants the film to have an 80s aesthetic, much like how the characters looked in the original series.

Russell Crowe Joins Thor: Love And Thunder

Taika Waititi has secured the talents of Russell Crowe in the next Thor sequel. The star of Gladiator will join the cast of Thor: Love and Thunder in what could be a cameo role.  The cast of the Marvel project is stacked, and adding Crowe to the mix, however briefly, is great news. Chris Hemsworth is back as the Thunder God with Natalie Portman returning as Jane Foster and Christian Bale taking a villainous turn as Gorr the God Butcher. The film will also feature Chris Pratt reprising his role as Peter Quill/Star Lord.

American Gods Is Cancelled

Fans of the Starz series, American Gods, will have to brace for some disappointment as the show is officially canned. The series based off the books by Neil Gaiman recently concluded its third season. To be fair, American Gods did run into production issues stemming from the departure of original showrunner Bryan Fuller in season 2. The latest season saw the show course correct itself, but it was too little too late. Despite an intriguing twist and a cliff-hanger, it looks like fans may not be able to witness the conclusion of the series. Hope however remains that the series may continue in the form of a standalone movie to tie-up all loose ends.
