Yet another 80s hit is set to be rebooted but this time around, Knight Rider will take on a short form format on YouTube. Under the helm of Machinima, who had great success with online series such as Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter, Knight Rider is due to be released sometime in 2017. The online series will reportedly be helmed by Justin Lin who will focus on re-invigorating the franchise for a new generation of fans. Knight Rider was last rebooted in 2008 in a short-lived series on NBC.

New Look At Wonder Woman
wonder_womannewWith the Wonder Woman standalone film set to hit cinemas next year and with the heroine celebrating her 75th anniversary recently, Zack Snyder has revealed a new look at Gal Gadot’s Amazonian warrior. Wonder Woman was one of the breakout stars from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and fans are eagerly anticipating her standalone adventure in 2017. And then there’s that Justice League movie, which brings together all the heroes from the DC cinematic universe for an epic adventure in November 2017.

Tim Miller Departs Deadpool 2
Bad news from the Deadpool camp with news that director Tim Miller has left the sequel. This could be a spanner in the works for 20th Century Fox as they attempt to find a new person to helm the film. Reports claim that Miller left the project due to creative differences with star Ryan Reynolds, who is also producer of the film. Miller will reportedly focus on his own franchise project, an adaptation of the best-selling novel, Influx. Deadpool 2 is still pencilled in for a January 2018 release so it remains to be seen if this departure delays the production in any way.

Shaun the Sheep Movie 2 Greenlit
shaun_the_sheepyIt looks like fans of Shaun the Sheep have something to look forward to following the announcement of sequel. Both Aardman & StudioCanal are evidently keen for a follow-up to the smash hit. Shaun the Sheep 2 is set to go into pre-production in early 2017. The Wallace & Gromit spin-off will reportedly be directed by Richard Starxak who was instrumental as chief creative collaborator from the first film. If it all goes according to plan, the sequel will likely see the light of day sometime in 2018.

First Look: Ocean’s Eight
The spin-off to the Ocean’s Eleven franchise is currently being filmed in New York under the direction of Gary Ross. Now, thanks to social media, fans have a first look at the film, specifically the two main stars – Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett. Ocean’s Eight is scheduled for release in June 2018 and it boasts one of the biggest all-female casts in history. Joining Blanchett and Bullock are Helena Bonham Carter Anne Hathaway and Rihanna.
