Another hit series is being looked at for a small screen adaptation and this time its Antoine Fuqua’s Training Day. The gritty cop drama, which starred Denzel Washington and Ethan Hawke was a hit back in 2001 and now it seems that Warner Bros. is looking to revamp the film into a TV series.
According to reports though, it seems that Fuqua is the one behind the idea and he’s looking to enlist Jerry Bruckheimer TV’s production house to produce the series. The director will reportedly executive produce and possibly direct the pilot.
For those who haven’t seen the show, Training Day revolves around a rookie LAPD cop who goes on a training stint with a dirty detective from the narcotics department. The trend of revamping shows into TV series has been popular as of late with productions based on shows like Fargo and Hannibal delivering decent ratings.
