The DC Universe streaming service will launch later this year in the U.S and fans who sign up will get to see shows like Titans. The Titans Trailer, which has just been released, offers a first-hand look at the new show, which basically revolves around Robin and his team of meta-humans.

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The first Titans Trailer seems more like a fan film that an actual production, which is worrying. It also attempts to hard sell a gritty feel. The plotline seems to revolve around Robin and Raven, but there are short clips of Starfire, Beast Boy as well as Hawk and Dove in there too.

There’s no word on the international roll-out for the DC Universe, but if you are in the States, it will cost you USD7.99 a month to get to see shows like this along with some other classic animated series and other DC superhero movies.
