The History Channel once again makes Malaysia the focus of a documentary series, which takes a look at the country during the fifties and sixties. Taking a light-hearted approach, the six-episode Time Capsule Malaysia series showcases the time period through never before broadcast clips from Malaysia’s very own Film Archives.
Beginning 14 September at 9pm, Time Capsule Malaysia will cover a wide variety of subjects including the country’s transport system, its heroes and the local cinema scene. With the Malaysian Film Archives often depicting every day scenarios, the series exploits and determines what we can infer from yesteryear and what kind of questions or anecdotes it raises in our minds today.
The series will also take to the streets to bring a modern twist to the films of years gone by, as well as talk to experts for discussion and banter around this beautifully shot, quirky archive collection. We can’t think of a better way to celebrate Malaysia Day.
Time Capsule Malaysia premieres on History and History HD (Astro Ch 555 and Astro B.Yond Ch 575) on 14 September at 9pm.
