Thunderbirds are go! Now, if any of you reading this knows what we’re talking about, then you’re probably in your 40s. But that doesn’t mean you’re too old to enjoy the series. The 60s series revolved around a group of international rescue operators called the Thunderbirds who possess a number of futuristic vehicles.
The puppet series was quite a hit back when it first made its debut and it went on to become a cult series with a lucrative merchandise and toy line as well. Now, the series has been retooled and rebooted for the small screen, with a whole new generation of fans in mind.
Thunderbirds Are Go, follows closely to the original series in animated form as opposed to puppets but it looks to retain some of its elements that made the series such as hit. By the looks of the first trailer, it looks as if the new series has some action elements reminiscent of modern action films too.
The new animated series also boasts some impressive cast members as well such as Rosamund Pike and original series veteran David Graham who voice key characters Lady Penelope and Parker respectively. Thunderbirds Are Go is set to air on ITV and CITV in Spring 2015.
