Take this bit of news with a pinch of salt for now because Matthew Vaughn has announced he wants to get back into the Kick-Ass franchise and make a Hit Girl prequel. Speaking to Yahoo! UK, the director chimed in on the franchise he helped get off the ground. “I’m not happily done with the franchise, for sure,” said Vaughn. “We’re working on an idea for a prequel of how did Hit Girl and Big Daddy become Hit Girl and Big Daddy. If we make that, hopefully that will be the sorbet for the people that didn’t like Kick-Ass 2, and then we can go off and make Kick-Ass 3. But I think we’ve got to do this prequel just to regain the love that we had with Kick-Ass.”

And when they said limited-series run, I meant it. But I’ve always felt, from Season 1 on, that 24 is such a great idea that this can go on forever,” said the actor. However, despite refuting another series starring role, the actor is nevertheless open to a cameo appearance should it be available.
