Deadpool star, Ryan Reynolds will now voice Detective Pikachu in a new live-action Pokémon Movie that’s currently in development. Reynolds will be joined by a cast of youngsters such as Justice Smith and Kathryn Newton in the production, which will begin filming in January 2018. The live-action Pokémon Movie will be directed by Rob Letterman. Reynolds is an interesting choice to voice Detective Pikachu, especially since he is the biggest name attached to the project at the moment.

Mindhunter Renewed For Season 2
mindhuntersGood news for fans of Mindhunter, because the Netflix series is officially getting a second season. The David Fincher-produced crime series, which revolves around the early days of FBI’s criminal profiling unit, has had immense success following its premier in October. Rooted with actual murder cases, Mindhunter featured ten episodes, four of which were directed by Fincher himself. The series stars Jonathan Groff and Holt McCallany as a pair of FBI agents and Anna Torv, who plays a renowned psychologist tasked with assisting the FBI in helping to profile the suspects.

Benicio Del Toro’s Star Wars Character
del_toro_star_warsEmpire has shed some light on Benicio Del Toro’s character in Rian Johnson’s Star Wars: The Last Jedi. In a recent feature in the magazine, the Oscar-winner has been revealed to portray a “slicer” DJ, who will cross paths with John Boyega’s Finn and Kelly Marie Tran’s Rose in the gambling resort city of Canto Bight. With regards to his character, Del Toro had this to say in the interview, “He’s like a knife: if you grab him by the blade, he’ll cut you. If you grab him by the handle, he can be very, very useful.”

Changes To House Of Cards

Robin Wright will be taking the lead on the hit series likely to see it out towards its finale for its sixth and final season. The fate of Spacey’s Frank Underwood character is still a huge question mark following the actor’s firing from the series. House of Cards Season 6 will continue production in early 2018, with a likely air-date in winter 2018.

Bryan Singer Fired From Bohemian Rhapsody

According to reports, 20th Century Fox relieved the director from his duties to on-set altercations with actors, specifically lead, Rami Malek. Conflicting reports from the director’s camp however state otherwise, claiming he was ousted unexpectedly by the studio. All the same, Bohemian Rhapsody will now be scrambling for another director to take the helm of this musical biopic
