The Predator franchise is set to continue with new intellectual owners, Disney following their acquisition of 20th Century Fox last year. Helming the new project is 10 Cloverfield Lane director, Dan Trachtenberg. Disney will reboot the gritty sci-fi actioner, which kick started in 1987 with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Over the years, the franchise has undergone several tweaks and soft reboots but overall they have paled in comparison against the original. Now with Disney taking the reins, Predator fans will hope for a better outing for the alien hunter.

Female-led Jump Street Gets A Title
The Jump Street franchise will be getting a female-led spinoff and reportedly it will be called,Jump Street: Now For Her Pleasure, will reportedly be directed by Rodney Rothman with previous Jump Street director, Phil Lord and Chris Miller, serving as producers. 21 Jump Street, which was based off the iconic 80s TV crime series was rebooted in 2012 as a highly-successful comedy starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum. The film spawned a sequel titled 22 Jump Street in 2014. No stars have been linked to the spinoff as yet.

Black Panther Eyes A Villain
The passing of Chadwick Boseman has no doubt put the Black Panther franchise in a bit of a conundrum. However it seems that Marvel Studios are moving ahead with a sequel to the billion dollar film, which arrived in 2018. Although it remains to be seen how the studio will address Boseman’s passing, the production of the film will reportedly start in summer 2021. The studio is also reportedly eyeing Narcos: Mexico star Tenoch Huerta to play one of the baddies in Black Panther 2. Director Ryan Coogler will return to helm the sequel for Marvel Studios.

First Look: Starfire
The DC Universe series, Titans has featured Starfire since season one. However the character, Kory Anders, played by Anna Diop, has largely featured in civilian clothing in the series. Titans Season 3 however will change that narrative as the character will finally don a supersuit, which HBO Max has just revealed. The latest season of Titans is teasing to not just shift the storylines with the core characters but also introduce new characters to the show. Some of the characters that are set to appear include Scarecrow, Barbara Gordon and the Red Hood.

The Expanse To Get Sixth & Final Season
Amazon has ordered another season of The Expanse, which will please fans of the sci-fi drama series. The series, which airs on the streaming platform, will air for a sixth and final season. Based on the best-selling book series, the series made its debut in 2015 on Amazon. The series is set in the future where humanity has colonised the solar system. The series centred on the colonies of Earth, Mars and the Asteroid Belt, which are constantly at odds with each other. The Expanse Season 5 is due to arrive on Amazon Prime Video in December.
