Production has begun on the Murder on the Orient Express sequel, Death on the Nile. Kenneth Branagh returns to direct and star in the film, which is the adaptation of the Agatha Christie novel.  In Death on the Nile, Hercule Poirot’s (Branagh) Egyptian adventure aboard a glamorous river steamer descends into a terrifying search for a murderer when an idyllic honeymoon is shattered by violent deaths. The film will also star Tom Bateman, Annette Bening, Russell Brand, Dawn French, Gal Gadot, Armie Hammer and Letitia Wright. Death on the Nile sails into theatres in October 2020.

Stranger Things Renewed for Season 4
To no surprise to anyone, Netflix has renewed its hit supernatural series, Stranger Things, for another season. A recent teaser released by the streaming giant, confirmed the news and even hinted that the show may leave the setting of the town of Hawkins in the upcoming season. This is in all likelihood due to the events of Season 3, which showed the Bryers leaving the town, and also the end credit sequence, which showed a secret Russian base where a Demogorgon was kept, along with a mystery prisoner, which may or may not be, Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) who seemingly perished in the finale.

Brandon Routh Returns As Superman
He may have only played the Man of Steel in one film, but Brandon Routh will reprise the character he portrayed in Superman Returns in the ‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ crossover on The CW. Arriving later this year, Routh will don the costume of Superman seen in Alex Ross’ Kingdom Come comic book, judging by the photo the actor shared on social media.  The image sees him alongside fellow Superman, Tyler Hoechlin, from Supergirl. The upcoming crossover will link the shows of Supergirl, Batwoman, The Flash, Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Kevin Smith Confirms Clerks III
It looks like Kevin Smith will revive another franchise with news that a Clerks III film is in the works. The director/actor made the announcement on social media with a photo of himself with Jason Mewes and Jeff Anderson, who played one of the original leads of the first two films. An excerpt of Smith’s post on Instagram read, “We talked about making a movie together. It’ll be a movie that concludes a saga. And it’ll be a movie called CLERKS III!” Smith is putting the finishing touches on The Jay and Silent Bob Reboot, which will hit cinemas later this month.

Beverly Hills Cop 4
It looks like Eddie Murphy is ready to reprise the role of Axel Foley in a new Beverly Hills Cop movie. In a recent interview, the actor/comedian admitted that he is preparing to film Beverly Hills Cop 4, following which he intends to resume his career as a stand-up comedian. Murphy is back in the limelight again in recent months, starring in the Netflix movie, Dolemite Is My Name, which will be released on 25 October. He is also currently filming Coming to America 2, which is a long-awaited follow-up to his 1988 smash hit comedy.
