With half a year left until Captain Marvel arrives on screen, Disney-Marvel are already ramping up their promotional work for the newest hero of the MCU. This time we get a full look at Brie Larson as the titular hero. Captain Marvel will be based in the past, specifically in the 90s and will tell the story of Carol Danvers, an air force pilot, who is bestowed incredible powers. The film will also see familiar faces such as Ronan the Accuser and Korath, roles reprised by Lee Pace and Djimon Hounsou from Guardians of the Galaxy. Captain Marvel arrives in cinemas in March 2019 and also stars Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg and Jude Law.

Henry Cavill Leads New Netflix Series

Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.

Rian Johnson and Daniel Craig Team Up
bond_24With Bond 25 without a director and on the back burner, Daniel Craig will now front the new crime drama, Knives Out, with director Rian Johnson. The film is a contemporary murder mystery with Craig portraying a detective assigned to solve a crime. Knives Out will fill in Craig’s slot following the delay of Bond 25 as a result of the departure of Danny Boyle. Johnson on the other hand will step in to direct this production with Craig before setting off to direct the new Star Wars trilogy.

RIP Burt Reynolds
Smokey-and-the-BanditLegendary actor and film icon, Burt Reynolds has passed away at age 82. Best known for his roles in Smokey and the Bandit, Reynolds boasted an incredible body of work, which includes roles in hit television series such as Gunsmoke and diverse turns on screen in films like Deliverance and Boogie Nights. Although mostly retired, Reynolds still appeared on screen in several films in recent years; he filmed a role in the upcoming comedy Defining Moments and was due to appear in Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood as well.

Avengers 4 Reshoots
infinity_war_wakandaMore details have surfaced with regards to the next instalment of the Avengers franchise. Avengers 4 is currently in the midst of reshoots with directors, Anthony and Joe Russo and it seems they and Marvel want to keep details firmly under wraps. According to reports, the reshoots are not just tying up the sequel but also apparently shooting the ending to the film as well. A lot is riding on the last instalment to the Avengers franchise, especially after the events of Infinity War, so we have to wait until this plays out on the big screen in May 2019.
